Sue was the GB women’s lightweight single sculler in 1991, 1995 and 1996, and also won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Regatta in 1994, but she’s probably best known for notching up an extraordinary TEN consecutive wins in the lightweight singles at Henley Women’s Regatta from 1990 to 1999.
She was coached throughout her sculling career by Tony James, a fellow member of Mortlake Anglian and Alpha BC.
